Understanding your allergy or respiratory pattern

• Which symptoms you experience, such as sneezing, nasal blockage, runny nose, itching, watery eyes, cough or other respiratory concerns
• When symptoms occur, how frequently they return and whether they are seasonal or present throughout the year
• Possible associations with dust, pollen, weather changes, smoke, pets, workplace exposure or other environments
• Whether symptoms affect sleep, exercise, school, work or normal daily activities
• Any history of asthma, wheezing, breathing difficulty, eczema, food allergy or previous severe allergic reactions
• Current inhalers, antihistamines, nasal sprays or other medicines and how frequently they are needed
• Previous allergy testing, lung assessment, hospital visits or specialist advice where applicable
• Smoking, vaping, second-hand smoke and other relevant respiratory exposures

Seasonal, environmental and everyday patterns

Some people notice that allergy or respiratory symptoms vary with seasons, weather, dust, pollution, workplace exposure or particular environments. Recording where and when symptoms occur can make these patterns easier to discuss. An observed association does not by itself confirm an allergy, and unnecessary avoidance of foods or other suspected triggers should not replace appropriate medical or allergy assessment.

What happens during your consultation

The consultation considers your main symptoms together with their timing, known allergies, respiratory history, current medicines, environment, routine and previous medical assessment. Homeopathic care is individualised, so a medicine is not selected only from a label such as allergy, allergic rhinitis or cough. Dr. Kanchan will also consider whether continued care with your physician, allergy specialist or respiratory clinician is important.

A symptom and exposure record may be useful

For recurring symptoms, you may note the date and time, symptoms experienced, location or environment, weather or exposure you noticed, medicines or inhalers used and how the episode progressed. This can support a clearer discussion but does not replace formal allergy testing, respiratory assessment or diagnosis when indicated.

What to bring

If available, bring current inhalers, nasal sprays or medicine details, allergy-test reports, lung-function or other investigation reports, previous prescriptions, discharge summaries and specialist advice relevant to your symptoms.

When allergy or respiratory medical evaluation may be important

Recurring cough, wheezing, breathing symptoms or suspected allergies sometimes require examination, testing or specialist assessment. A homeopathic consultation should not delay appropriate asthma, allergy or respiratory care. Continue prescribed inhalers and other medicines unless the clinician responsible for your treatment advises otherwise.
