An individualised consultation.
Skin and scalp concerns can affect comfort, sleep, daily routines and confidence. The same visible symptom can have different possible causes, so understanding when it started, how it behaves and what else is happening with your health is important. At Sudarshan Homeopathy in Mansarovar, Jaipur, Dr. Kanchan Khandelwal, BHMS, takes a detailed individual history while recognising when conventional medical or dermatology assessment may also be appropriate.
Understanding your skin or scalp pattern
- Where the concern appears and whether it stays in one area, spreads or changes location
- What you notice, such as itching, dryness, scaling, redness, irritation, discomfort, eruptions or other visible changes
- When the concern began, whether it is continuous or recurrent, and how it has changed over time
- Anything you have noticed around weather, sweating, clothing, cosmetics, hair products, soaps, detergents or other exposures
- Current creams, medicines, skincare, haircare and previous treatment or medical advice
- Known allergies, other health conditions and relevant family history
- Recent illness, stress, sleep, routine or other changes that appear to coincide with the concern
Patterns, irritants and possible associations
Skin and scalp symptoms can change with time and may be influenced by many different factors. Some people notice patterns around particular products, occupational exposure, sweating, weather, stress or other changes in routine. These observations do not establish the medical cause of a skin condition, but recording them can make the history clearer and may help identify when further assessment is needed.
What happens during your consultation
The consultation considers the skin or scalp concern together with relevant medical history, current treatment, allergies, routine and other symptoms. Homeopathic care is individualised, so a medicine is not selected only from the name or appearance of a skin condition. Dr. Kanchan will also consider whether continued care with your doctor, dermatologist or another appropriate clinician is important.
Photographs can help show changes over time
If a rash, patch, eruption or scalp concern changes from day to day, clear dated photographs can help demonstrate its progression. When appropriate, you can also note itching or discomfort, products used, medicines taken and anything you noticed before a flare. Photographs are useful context but do not replace examination or medical assessment when that is required.
What to bring
If available, bring previous prescriptions, dermatology advice, investigation or allergy-test reports, a list of creams and medicines you currently use, relevant skincare or haircare product details, and dated photographs showing how the concern has changed.
When dermatology or medical evaluation may be important
Some skin and scalp concerns require examination, testing or specialist assessment to establish their cause. A homeopathic consultation should not delay appropriate dermatology or medical care. Continue prescribed treatment unless the clinician responsible for that treatment advises you to change it.
